PLAYING TOGETHER.
TUESDAYS 7PM - Eclectic Endeavors - 30th & Main
Playing should be fun, yes? We take the approach that drumming and playing music is more fun if it’s fun. You already have everything it takes to share wonderful music making with friends and family, but there are a few tricks that make it a little easier….

Learning patterns and foundational rhythms gives us a start point for improvisation, so there’s a good bit of that going on, as well.

This is Rhythm Jazz!

Let’s take what we know and create something new!

Bring an instrument if you have one; we’ve plenty if you don’t.

START HERE!  HAND DRUM CLASS FOR BRAND NEW DRUMMERS

SATURDAYS 11 am - A Novel Adventure - 906 Main Street, Boise

How do we go about making this drum speak?

Drumming is a language. We can show you a few words and phrases, and experiment with how to create rhythmic poetry in harmony with others.

This class is for people just getting started. Class is structured to answer your questions and to help you discover your inherent musician! Bring an instrument if you have one; we’ve plenty if you don’t.  I can show you a basic vocabulary and this is a great place to practice making sentences! I use our Drummin’ Buddies Hand Charts book to get you started on rhythms and we take it from there!

Pricing info: Let us talk about this upfront....
The artists who share in FaillaDrums have spent years learning how to play AND how to teach and facilitate.
We are fortunate fools who are devoted to following our passion. This is what we do for a living.
That being said, we believe no one should be reluctant to come play because they cannot pay.

Unfortunately, artist and musicians are asked to give much of their work away as though it has no value.
Artists often suffer from frostbite and sunstroke with the amount of "exposure" they are given by being asked to
do their thing for nothing. And very, very, very often, we do. Volunteering is the most rewarding job there is. [ask any mom!]

I cannot name the value a class or performance has for you, but here are some suggestions:
a) Pay me what you get paid per hour. 60 minutes is 60 minutes. Our time is the same.
b) Figure out what your budget can afford and pay that. If you're struggling, you're paying too much.
If you feel like you're getting something for nothing, you're paying to little. Keep it real...
c) Exchange. How can we provide for each other with what we do?
if you're a single parent, see me after class....
