KEMBA SUSSOKO – The Kora of Manding Griots

This recording, released in 1993, displays a varied repertoire of traditional songs of encouragement to war, of glorifications, of homage and of legends, but of newer compositions because the griots who are professional musicians, must make contemporaneous history live and adapt themselves to the new situations which they are confronted with. Every song is played by the griot KEMBA SUSSOKO.
