EPHAT MUJURU

Ephat Mujuru is one of the most respected Zimbabwe masters of the mbira. On this 2002 release, he performs a mix of traditional pieces and original works with a traditional feel. Backed by guitar, vocals and various percussion.

“When the mbira is played,” Ephat once said, “it brings the two worlds together: the world of our ancestors and the world of today.”
